Memorial Day, celebrated this year on Monday, May 27, is a day set aside to honor our nation's fallen military heroes, Veterans, and the brave men and women currently serving our country.

As a "thank you" for their sacrifice and service, many restaurants, theme parks, and retailers offer special military discounts not only in May, but year-round. Here are the top 31 discounts we found.

Amusement Parks

Busch Gardens – Through the Waves of Honor program, military personnel and up to three guests may enjoy one complimentary admission to Busch Gardens in Virginia or Florida. Restrictions apply. Veterans can purchase up to six discounted one-day tickets to the park.

Colonial Williamsburg – A fun historical experience for the entire family, with hands-on activities and guided tours of original 18th-century buildings in Williamsburg, Virginia. On Memorial Day weekend (and Veterans Day), they offer complimentary admission for active duty military, Reservists, National Guard, retired military personnel, Veterans and up to three family members. Throughout the year, they offer 25% off single-day passes and annual passes.

Hershey Park – Located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Hershey Park offers a BOGO offer for military, first responders, and government employees of $86.95 for two general admission tickets. Additional admission tickets can be purchased for $49.99 each.

Six Flags America – Located in Bowie, Maryland, Six Flags America's Military Appreciation Ticket offers a discount on daily admission and season passes for active and retired military members. Tickets must be bought online, and ID.me registration is required prior to purchase. The park also hosts an annual Veterans Weekend in the fall.

Walt Disney World – Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, has special military offers, including promotional theme park tickets and discounts on resort hotels. Through Dec. 16, 2024, members of the U.S. military can choose a 4-Day, 5-Day, or 6-Day Disney Military Salute Ticket, with the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus option at a discounted rate. Military families can also enjoy discounted rates at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels for stays most nights through December 20, 2024.

Clothing/Shoes

Nike – Get 10% off most items on Nike's website for military professionals and select spouses and dependents. One perk is that you can use this deal up to four times in a month.

Adidas – Military personnel and Veterans, first responders, teachers, medical professionals and nurses receive 30% off at Adidas online or in-store.

Under Armour – 20% discount for active duty and retired military and Veterans as well as their families.

L.L. Bean – Professionals in the military field, including active duty, Veterans, reservists, and retirees can get a promo code for 10% off.

Reebok – Reebok's "Heroes Discount" gives 50% off any purchase for active and retired military, first responders, nurses, physicians, hospital employees, teachers, and government employees.

Rack Room Shoes – Offers a 20% discount off your entire purchase in stores on Memorial Day to anyone with a military ID.

Vineyard Vines – Offers a 15% military discount, in store and online. Show your military ID or be verified online. 

Home/Auto

Jiffy Lube – Active duty, retired and veteran military personnel can save 15% off year-round.

Home Depot – 10% discount to all military, Veterans, and their spouses, up to $400 annually. Valid military or Veteran ID required.

Lowe's – 10% off year-round to Veterans, military personnel and their spouses.

Sherwin-Williams – 15% military discount to active duty, retired and veteran military personnel and spouses year-round.

Sleep Number Beds – Active duty military and Veterans receive 20% off most Sleep Number 360 beds, all bases, and most bedding purchases.

Target – Target offers a 10% discount from June 25 through July 4 annually for all U.S. active-duty military personnel, Veterans, and their families. Target offers a similar discount annually in November for Veterans Day.

Optical

DiscountContacts.com – Offers a 20% military discount on prescription contact lenses.

DiscountGlasses.com – Get 30% off eyewear. Online verification required.

Restaurants

Chuck E. Cheese – Military families can buy "the Alpha," which includes 45 Play Points, a large pizza and four drinks for $33.99 or "the Bravo", which includes 100 Play Points, two large pizzas and four drinks for $57.49 ($65 value). Military ID required.

Cracker Barrel – Select locations offer up to 15% off with your military ID.

Mission BBQ – During the week of May 13-17, 2024, all active duty service members and Veterans can enjoy a free sandwich on their designated day for each branch of the Armed Forces, followed by a special lunch on May 18 (Armed Forces Day). Details.

Old Country Buffet – 15% daily discount for active duty, reserve or retired military personnel in uniform or with a valid ID.

Outback Steakhouse – Military, Veterans, nurses, doctors and first responders receive 10% off with a valid medical, state, or federal service ID.

Texas Steakhouse – Active duty and retired military get 10% off with military ID.

Sports/Outdoors

Baltimore Orioles - Current and former military, first responders, police, emergency medical, and government personnel receive exclusive pricing to purchase tickets to Baltimore Orioles baseball home games. Discount is available online only.

Birdies for the Brave – The PGA Tour offers free and discounted tickets to select PGA Tour golf events for Veterans, and active/retired military through Birdies for the Brave. Each event has varying requirements, and proof of ID or service must be shown at the gate.

Free National Park Days - Although this last discount is not limited just to military personnel/Veterans, it's worth noting that the National Park Service offers four more free admission days this year: June 19, August 4, September 28, and November 11 (Veterans Day).

Go Ape – Go Ape in Rockville, Maryland, is an outdoor adventure experience that provides physical challenges to build resilience while having fun. Fly around on multiple ziplines from exciting heights, tackle dangling obstacles, and explore trees from a new perspective. Discounts are available for military families and groups.

Washington Wizards – Military (active, retired, reserve, Veteran) and first responders (Police, Fire, EMS) can receive specially priced tickets to Washington Wizards basketball home games. Discount is available online only.
