College Scholarship Opportunity for STEM Students
Calling all college (or college-bound) STEM and Foreign Language Linguistics majors! The TowerCares Foundation is proud to announce its eighth annual College Scholarship Program.
This year, we are happy to announce that we are expanding our program and will award up to 40 $5,000 scholarships! Since the program's inception in 2018, TowerCares has awarded over half a million dollars in college scholarships.

Who is eligible to apply?
The TowerCares Foundation Scholarship Program is open to all current high school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores and juniors, who are enrolled or plan to enroll in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or Foreign Language Linguistics major.Applicants must also meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Must attend an accredited U.S. two- or four-year college/university full-time for the 2025-26 academic year
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent)
- Must be a U.S. citizen and reside in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, or Virginia
- Must not be a previous TowerCares scholarship winner*
How to apply
Scholarship entries for the 2025-26 academic year will be accepted April 1, 2025. Hurry, the deadline to apply is May 15, 2025! Only online applications will be accepted.

The selection process
Scholarship entries will be evaluated by an independent selection committee** and recipients will be selected based on consideration of the following criteria:- Academic performance
- Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
- Work experience
- Statement of career and educational goals and objectives
What is the TowerCares Foundation?
The TowerCares Foundation was created in 2015 by Tower Federal Credit Union to support children in need as well as the brave and heroic individuals and their families who sacrificed while protecting our freedom. Since our inception, TowerCares has provided over $3 million in grants and donations to charities who help our military heroes, Veterans, Department of Defense employees, and children in need in our community.
