$150K in College Scholarships Awarded to STEM Students

We are excited to announce that the TowerCares Foundation has once again awarded 30 $5,000 college scholarships! Since 2018, TowerCares has awarded over half a million dollars in scholarships to college students pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields or Foreign Language Linguistics majors.

TowerCares is proud to invest in the next generation of STEM leaders. Our scholarship program provides opportunity for students who want to change and improve the world, with special consideration given to children/dependents of active-duty military and Veterans from all branches of the Armed Forces, including Reserve and Guard units, and Department of Defense civilian employees.

We are proud to say that more than half of this year's winners have one or both parents who are affiliated with the Department of Defense, are Veterans, or are currently serving in the U.S. Military.

The winners were selected from an impressive pool of applicants by an independent judging organization based on academics, demonstrated leadership, participation in school and community activities, work experience, and career/educational goals and objectives.*

Scholarship winner Henry Gaston, who is entering his freshman year at the California Institute of Technology and plans to major in Computer and Information Sciences, says: "Thank you so much for choosing me as a recipient for the TowerCares Foundation scholarship. I am honored to be selected, and I am incredibly grateful for your support of my higher education. I hope to one day contribute to science that will make our world a better place, and the support of this award puts me one big step closer to my goal. Thank you!"

The annual scholarship program runs April through mid-May and is open to all current high school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who are enrolled or plan to enroll in a STEM or Foreign Language Linguistics major. Additional requirements apply.

Scholarship winner Emmanuella Brown, who is also a freshman and plans to study Robotics Engineering at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute, says the award will help relieve some financial stress and help her focus on schoolwork. "I appreciate the support from [TowerCares] as I further my education in engineering," she says. "Your support allows me not to worry as much about finances and instead, focus on my education and college experience. I am very grateful and thankful for your contribution."

Congratulations to all our scholarship winners, and we wish you continued success in your future endeavors!
